Everything about us is on the Internet. Whether it is our email or our phone number on Facebook to pictures of what we look like and the high school we went to on Myspace it’s a terrifying thing we call cyber culture. I was introduced to cyber culture in my freshman year of high school and thought of it as a cool way to interact with friends and let people know about you but I had no idea that it would blow up and the whole world would be using it multiple times a day. A few years after that I was introduced to a new virtual community, and that was the online gaming community for the video game World of Warcraft. I didn't like the game so I stayed away from it but it’s hard to believe people devote their whole days to playing this game. Right now i still have the same myspace since freshman year of high school and have just recently made a facebook. I check both of them everyday so i guess you can say I am an addict?? Cyber culture and the virtual community have gone beyond my expectations and have let me talk to people that i thought i would have never ever spoke too.

This is so true. You do meet alot of new people on-line that you would have probably never met in your life time. As far as the on-line gaming goes like World of Warcraft, I also can't see how some people can spend their whole day playing these games. For some people cyberculture is THEIR LIFE!!
I can easily see people wasting their entire day to a game. It is what I have grown up with, personally I have not wasted a large amount of time to it, but for those that do it is not time wasted. I can easily read for hours straight. For some people tis would be considered a waste. The individuals that take the time to enhance their gaming ability not just in war craft, take pride in what they have accomplished the same way I would feel after I have completed a novel.
yeah, my stepbrother dedicates his life to warcraft. He attends college and if he studyed as much as he played warcraft, he would be getting all A's. But i guess if he likes it, i cant really say anything. I have my own likes and dislikes, to each their own.
